Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a modern form of treatment based on ancient Chinese healing practices. In acupuncture, thin needles are inserted into the skin at specific points, which release biochemicals in certain areas of the body to promote healing, pain relief, and wellness.
Almost anyone can benefit from regular acupuncture sessions. Acupuncture is a holistic approach that supports a better mind and body connection, and an overall feeling of wellbeing. Acupuncture can also be a useful adjunct for issues such as insomnia, tension and stress, menopausal symptoms, digestive issues, or suffering caused by chronic pain or illness. In many cases, acupuncture can help improve or alleviate symptoms and works well alongside a medical treatment plan. Recent studies have shown that acupuncture is particularly useful in treating pain and nausea. It can be extremely beneficial to cancer patients, helping them alleviate symptoms and side effects of treatments like chemotherapy.
NOTE: Acupuncture treatments are provided by a Registered Nurse with additional training in Acupuncture treatment and technique. Services may not be covered by insurance plans.
